
Spicy Cauliflower Fritters
Spicy Cauliflower Fritters are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They're perfect as a snack or side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 cauliflower
- 2 oz seasoned flour
- 2 beaten eggs
- 2 1/2 oz white breadcrumbs
- 2 oz Parmesan grated
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 2 pints oil
- crème fraiche and black pepper to serve
Instructions
- Trim and divide cauliflower into small florets, boil for 5 minutes, then drain.
- Using 3 bowls, add seasoned flour to one, beaten eggs to the second, and white breadcrumbs, Parmesan and chilli powder to the third.
- Heat the oil in a large pan or deep-fat fryer.
- Dip florets in flour, egg, then bread crumb mixture, to coat.
- Deep-fry in batches for 2 to 3 minutes, then drain on kitchen paper.
- Serve with crème fraiche and black pepper.
