
Spicy Burgers
This is an easy to follow recipe for spicy burgers. These beef burgers are packed with flavour and will keep you coming back for more.
Ingredients
- 1 lb minced beef lamb or pork
- 1 onion grated
- 2 cloves garlic crushed
- 1 green chilli deseeded and finely chopped (optional)
- salt and pepper
- oil for frying
Instructions
- Mix together the meat, onion, garlic, the chilli, if using, and seasoning to taste. Shape the mixture into eight burgers. Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the burgers for 2 - 3 minutes on either side.
- Serve the burgers in baps with lettuce, tomato slices and sweetcorn relish, garnished with tomato wedges, baby gherkins and lettuce. Alternatively, serve with mashed potatoes and Ratatouille.
- Cook's Tip
- For a low-calorie meal use lean minced beef and serve burgers on thick slices of Iceberg or Webb's lettuce. Top with low-calorie salad dressing.
