
Perfect Cauliflower Cheese
A simple recipe for a classic dish. This cauliflower cheese is deliciously creamy and will go well with a salad or some crusty bread.
Ingredients
- 1 cauliflower
- 1 oz butter
- 1 oz plain flour
- 10 floz full-fat milk
- 1 tsp English mustard
- 9 oz tub mascarpone
- 3 1/2 oz grated Cheddar
- 1 3/4 oz grated cheddar
Instructions
- Trim a cauliflower and divide into florets and Rinse, boil for 10 minutes, then drain well.
- Melt butter in a non-stick pan and stir in the plain flour, then whisk in the full-fat milk and English mustard.
- Stir until it thickens, then add the tub mascarpone and 100 g grated Cheddar.
- Place cauliflower in an ovenproof dish with the cheese sauce and top with 50 g grated cheddar, then place under the grill until the cheese melts and serve.
