This recipe is a great appetizer for any occasion - or snack. It features braised veal, garlic, and cheese.

  • 4 veal escalopes each weighing 4 oz
  • 2 small cloves garlic crushed
  • 8 oz low fat soft cheese
  • Small bunch chives chopped
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika optional


  • Flatten the veal escalopes between 2 sheets of greaseproof paper using a rolling pin and taking care to keep each escalope in one piece. Set aside.
  • Combine the garlic, cheese and chives together and season with salt and pepper.
  • Spread a quarter of the mixture over each of the veal escalopes and roll up like a Swiss roll. Sprinkle with paprika if desired.
  • Arrange in a circle in a dish and cook, uncovered, on HIGH for 8 - 10 minutes. Serve immediately
