German Rye Bread
A rye bread recipe with a mildly sweet flavor, crisp crust, and hearty texture.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon caraway seeds
- 2 1/4 cups bread flour
- 1 1/2 tbsp salt
- 2 1/2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
- 1 1/2 cups rye flour
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 1 1/2 tbsp butter
- 2 1/2 tbsp molasses
Instructions
- Place all in bread machine, wet ingredients, the dry, lastly yeast.
- Put on rye bread cycle and start.
