  • 15 Onions small, peeled
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Beetroot chukander, peeled
  • 7 floz White vinegar sirka


  • Rub salt over the onions. Keep aside for half an hour.
  • Pack the onions, sugar, and beetroot in a jar. Pour the vinegar over the mixture and serve.
  • Variations: 1 inch piece ginger julienned can also be added with the onions.
