Ingredients
 

  • 3 1/2 oz Broken wheat dalia
  • 3 1/2 oz Ghee
  • 1 tsp Aniseed saunf
  • 10 Almonds badaam, blanched, halved
  • 1 tbsp Dry coconut copra, slivers
  • 16 floz Water
  • 2 1/2 oz Sugar
  • 4 Green cardamom choti elaichi, crushed

Instructions

  • Heat the ghee in a wok (kadhai); add aniseed and let them crackle.
  • Add broken wheat and stir-fry till it is well browned.
  • Add almonds, coconut, and water; bring to the boil. Lower heat and cook till the broken wheat becomes tender.
  • Add sugar and stir till it dissolves completely.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with slivers of almonds and cardamom.
