Kanika Bhog (Green gram and rice preparation)
Ingredients
- 5 oz Rice soaked for 1 hour, drained
- 2 1/2 tbsp Split green gram dhuli moong daf, soaked for 1 hour, drained
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 2 Black cardamom badi elaichi
- 4 Cloves hung
- tsp Salt
- 3 tsp sugar
- 12 Raisins kishmish
- 6 floz Water
Instructions
- Heat the ghee in a pressure pan; add black cardamom and cloves; saute for a while.
- Add the remaining ingredients; mix well. Close the pan and cook till 2 whistles. Remove the pan from the heat.
- After 2 - 3 minutes release the pressure; mix gently and serve hot.
