Makke Ni Khichdi (An interesting preparation made with corn)
Ingredients
- 5 Corn bhutta corbs, tender, grated
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds rai
- 1/2 tsp Cumin jeera seeds
- 1/4 tsp Asafoetida hing
- 2 Green chillies chopped
- 1 tsp Sugar
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 Juice of lemon nimbu
- 1 tbsp Green coriander hara dhaniya, chopped
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a pan; add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, and green chillies. Saute till the seeds crackle. Add the corn and cook on low heat for 5 minutes.
- Add just enough water to cover the corn. Add sugar and salt. Cover and simmer till the corn is tender.
- Add lemon juice and mix well.
- Serve hot garnished with green coriander.
