Indian Banana fritters (Etheka Appam)
Ingredients
- 1.1 lb Bananas ripe, chopped lengthwise into 4 pieces
- 2 oz. Rice flour
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 cup Water
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Mix the rice flour, sugar, Baking powder, and water together into a smooth batter.
- Heat the oil in a wok (kadhai); dip the banana in the batter and deep-fry, one at a time, till golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain the excess oil on absorbent paper towels. Repeat till all the bananas are fried.
- Serve hot.
