  • 12 frozen potato fritters
  • 28 oz fillets of plaice 3 1/2 oz each
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 oz clarified butter
  • 2 red onions
  • 1 big apple
  • 2 oz chopped bacon


  • Prepare the potato fritters following the instructions on the packet. Wash and dry the fish and sprinkle the lemon juice over it. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Melt the clarified butter in a frying pan and fry the fillets of plaice. Peel and cut the onions into rings. Peel, halve, core and quarter the apple. Then slice the quarters thinly.
  • Place the chopped bacon into a frying pan and wait a little while until the fat has melted. Then add the onions and apple slices.
  • Season with salt and pepper. Place three potato fritters on each plate. Arrange the plaice on top and sprinkle with the onions and apples.
