
Toffee Crispies
Homemade sweets seem to taste so much better than shop-bought ones.
Ingredients
- 3 oz butter
- 5 oz sugar
- 14 oz can Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
- 2 oz crisp puffed rice
Instructions
- Lightly grease an 18cm (7 inch) square tin.
- Melt the butter and sugar together in a large saucepan. Add the Milk and golden syrup. Heat gently stirring continuously and bring to the boil. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the puffed rice and pour into the prepared tin. Leave to set in a cool place.
- When cool cut the toffee crispies into squares. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
