  • 7 oz Potatoes thinly sliced
  • 2 oz Onions thinly sliced
  • 1 floz Vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Turmeric haldi powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 4 floz Water


  • Heat the oil in a wok (kadhai); add onions and saute till light pink in colour.
  • Add potatoes and saute for 3 - 4 minutes.
  • Add turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder, and water.
  • Cook on medium heat till the potatoes are done and the mixture has dried. Serve hot.
