Spiced Mixed Sprouts
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 onion peeled and very finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic peeled and crushed
- 1 tsp garam masala
- large pinch cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 5 floz tomato juice
- 8 oz mixed sprouted beans chick, mung, aduki
- 1 oz flaked almonds toasted
to serve:
- soft bread or chapattis
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan. Add onion and garlic and cook gently for 5 minutes without colouring.
- Add the garam masala, cumin seeds, cayenne pepper and ground black pepper. Fry for another 4 minutes.
- Add the lemon juice, tomato juice and sprouted beans. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in almonds and serve hot with soft bread or chapattis.
