Prawns in ginger sauce
This dish is a delicious and nutritious recipe and perfect for a meal any day of the week. Serve it with noodles.
Ingredients
- 8 spring onions chopped
- 2 inch piece fresh root ginger chopped
- 2 tablespoons dry sherry
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/4 pint chicken stock
- salt and pepper
- 12 peeled cooked Mediterranean prawns
Instructions
- Put all the ingredients, except the prawns, in a saucepan, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Bring to the boil, then simmer for 2 minutes.
- Stir in the prawns, cover and cook for 3 minutes. Serve immediately.
- Noodles are the traditional accompaniment to this dish. Cook some fresh egg noodles for 1 minute in boiling salted water.
