Ghostly Chocolate Cakes
A moist cake with a smooth chocolate glaze that's perfect for serving at home or to guests.
Ingredients
- 1 chocolate cake 7 x 11 inch
- 4 tbsp cherry pie filling
- 4 tbsp readymade white cake frosting
- 12 plain chocolate chips
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
Instructions
- Trim the crusty edges from the cake. Using a ghost-shaped cardboard template, cut out 4 shapes.
- Slice each shape in half through the middle and sandwich back together using the cherry pie filling.
- Spread the top of each cake thickly with the white frosting, and place chocolate chips on the top to resemble eyes and a mouth.
- Dust serving plates lightly with cocoa powder and place a ghost cake on top of each to serve.
