Frugal Meat Loaf
Ingredients
- 12 oz minced beef
- 8 oz beef sausagemeat
- 1 1/4 cup fresh white breadcrumbs
- 1 level tbsp fresh chopped mixed herbs
- 1 small onion grated
- 1 beef bouillon cube stock cube crumbled
- 1 egg
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 350°F (180°C) mark 4.
- Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix together very thoroughly.
- Press firmly into a 1 lb (450g) loaf tin and pack down well.
- Cook in the oven for 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 hours.
- Drain off any fat and turn the loaf onto a warm serving dish. Serve with a sauce.
