Spiced Okra (Bhendi Bhaji)
Ingredients
- 1 tsp panch phora
- 4 tbsp oil or ghee
- 2 1/2 oz chopped onion
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- salt
- 2.2 lb okras
Instructions
- Lightly fry 1 tsp panch phora in 4 tbsp oil or ghee.
- Add and golden fry 2 1/2 oz chopped onion, then add 1 tsp turmeric, 1/2 tsp chilli powder, 1/2 tsp garam masala and salt.
- Add 2.2 lb okras, cover with a lid and cook for 10 minutes.
- Season to taste and serve in a vegetable dish.
