Raw Bananas Stuffed with Gram Flour (Indian)
Ingredients
- 8 Raw bananas ends chopped
for the filling:
- 4 oz Gram flour hesari
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric haldi powder
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1 tsp Cumin jeera powder
- 1 tsp Coriander dhaniya powder
- 4 Green chillies chopped
- 2 tsp Sugar
- Salt to taste
- 7 floz Vegetable oil
Instructions
- Leaving the skin intact, slice the banana lengthwise, into 4 sections, just stopping short of the base.
- For the filling, mix all the ingredients together.
- Stuff the filling into the banana slices. Keep aside 2 tsp of the filling.
- Heat the oil in a pan; place the stuffed bananas side by side. Cook on low heat, covered with a lid containing some water, to prevent the bananas from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
- After 10 minutes, add the remaining stuffing. Cover the pan with the lid again.
- Stir once after 5 minutes and then remove the pan from the heat. Serve piping hot.
