
Brandy Bananas
Ingredients
- 3 oz butter
- 3 tbsps soft brown sugar
- 3 tbsps lemon juice
- 6 bananas
- 6 tbsps brandy
Instructions
- Put the butter, sugar and lemon juice into a frying pan. Cook over a low heat, stirring continuously, until the butter has melted and the sugar has dissolved.
- Peel the bananas and cut them in half lengthways. Add these to the butter and sugar liquid in the pan and fry gently for a few minutes, basting them well with the liquid.
- Add the brandy directly to the frying pan and cook for a second or two, to warm the brandy through.
- Ignite the brandy carefully and allow the flames to die down before serving the bananas.
- Serve with the juices and whipped cream.
