Ingredients
 

  • 2 1/2 oz Split green gram dhuli moong dal
  • 2 3/4 oz Split red gram arhar dal
  • 2 3/4 oz Lentil masoor dal
  • 1 tsp Ghee
  • 32 floz Water
  • 3 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric haldi powder
  • 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic adrak-lasan paste
  • 4 cups Rice cleaned

Instructions

  • Heat the ghee in a wok (kadhai); add the first three ingredients and gently fry for 5 - 10 minutes.
  • Add 1 1/2 cups water and cook till all the water is absorbed and the dals are soft. Add salt, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, and rice. Mix well.
  • Add the remaining water and cook on low heat until all the water is absorbed and the rice is done.
  • Serve hot.
