Devilled Chicken Livers
Ingredients
- 1 oz butter
- 1 lb chicken livers halved and trimmed
- 1/2 tsp mild curry powder
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 5 floz chicken stock
to garnish:
- 2 oz long grain rice cooked and kept hot; 4 spring onions, finely chopped.
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a pan, add the chicken livers and fry, stirring gently, for 2 minutes.
- Stir in the curry powder, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and seasoning. Add the stock and cook over gentle heat, stirring, for 5 minutes.
- Mix the rice with the onion. Serve livers on individual plates, garnished with the rice.
