  • 7 oz Potatoes diced
  • 1/4 cup Poppy seeds khus khus
  • 1 floz Mustard sarson oil
  • 1 tsp Turmeric haldi powder
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 16 floz Water
  • 2 tsp Green chillies chopped


  • Boil the poppy seeds in double the quantity of water; grind to a paste. Keep aside.
  • Heat the mustard oil in a wok (kadhai) saute the potatoes for 3 - 4 minutes.
  • Add poppy seed paste, turmeric powder, and water. Cook till the potatoes are done.
  • Add green chillies and serve immediately.
