
Sweet and Sour Cod
Ingredients
- 3 spring onions trimmed
- 4 cod steaks
- a little vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp dry sherry
- juice of 1 orange
- pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1 carrot cut into matchsticks
- method
Instructions
- Cut spring onions into very fine strips and put into iced water to curl.
- Brush cod steaks with oil, season and grill for 4 to 5 minutes each side.
- Mix all remaining ingredients, simmer until thickened slightly.
- Put steaks on a platter, pour over sauce and top with the curled spring onion shreds.
