Snake Gourd Cooked in Surati Style
Ingredients
- 1.1 lb Snake gourd tori, cut into 1 inch cubes
- 1/2 tbsp Ghee
- 1/2 tsp Cumin jeera seeds, ground
- 3 1/2 floz Coconut nariyal milk (optional)
- 1 tsp Ginger adrak paste
- 1 tsp Garlic lasan paste
- 2 Green chillies ground to a paste
- 1 tbsp Green coriander hara dhaniya, chopped
Instructions
- Heat the ghee in a pan; add cumin seeds. When they start spluttering, add the snake gourd and saute for 5 minutes.
- Add coconut milk, ginger, garlic, and green chilli pastes. Cover and simmer till done.
- Serve hot garnished with green coriander.
