Gond Ke Laddu (Sweet wheat flour balls)
Ingredients
- 3 1/2 oz Gum raisin gond, available in any dry fruit shop
- 5 oz Ghee
- 9 oz Wholewheat flour atta
- 3 1/2 oz Almonds badaam, cut into 3 horizontal pieces
- 9 oz Sugar powdered
Instructions
- Break the gum raisin into small bits on a flat dish and sun for 2 - 3 hours.
- Heat the ghee in a wok (kadhai); fry the gum raisin pieces till they double in size. Keep aside.
- Strain the leftover ghee and reheat in a wok. Add the wholewheat flour and almonds; saute on low heat for approximately 20 minutes or till the flour is cooked.
- Add the fried gum raisin pieces; mix well and keep aside to cool.
- When cool, add the sugar, mix well and make about 15 - 16 small-sized balls. Store in airtight jars.
