
Crunchy Fish Pie
Ingredients
- 2 oz butter or margarine
- 2 oz plain flour
- 1 pint milk
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dill weed
- 7 oz can tuna drained and flaked
- 4 oz peeled cooked prawns
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice

- 6 oz wholemeal flour
- 2 oz oatmeal
- 4 oz butter
- salt and pepper
garnish
- 2 whole cooked prawns
- parsley sprigs
Instructions
- Melt the butter or margarine over a low heat, stir in the flour, cook for 2 minutes, then gradually add the milk, stirring all the time. Bring the sauce to the boil, simmer gently for a few minutes. Add the seasoning, dill weed, tuna, prawns and lemon juice. Pour into an ovenproof dish.
- Place the flour, oatmeal, butter and seasoning in a bowl. Using your fingertips, rub the fat into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
- Spoon over the fish mixture and bake in a moderately hot oven for 30 - 40 minutes. Serve hot, garnished with whole prawns and parsley.
