Tamater Ka Shorba (Indian Tangy and spicy tomato soup)
Ingredients
- 28 oz Tomatoes
- 4 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 4 Cinnamon dalchini, 1 inch sticks
- 6 Cloves laung
- 2 Bay leaves tej patta
- 4 Green cardamom choti elaichi
- 1/2 tbsp Ginger adrak, chopped
- 1 tbsp Garlic lasan, chopped
- 32 floz Water
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper kali mirch powder to taste
- 2 floz Cream
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a deep pan; add the whole spices and saute till they crackle.
- Add the tomatoes, ginger, garlic, and water. Bring the mixture to the boil and cook on low heat for 30 minutes.
- Remove from heat and mash the tomatoes. Strain the liquid through a soup strainer into another pan. Discard the tomato pulp.
- Heat the soup, adjust the seasoning and remove from heat. Stir in the cream and serve hot.
