  • 1/2 pint tinned mango pulp
  • Juice 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp clear honey
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 pint unsweetened orange juice
  • 1/4 pint water
  • 1 small piece of fresh root ginger optional
  • Orange slices to decorate


  • Put the mango pulp, lemon juice, honey, spices, orange juice and water into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  • Put 2 or 3 ice cubes each into 4 glasses and divide the mango juice equally between them.
  • If using the fresh ginger, put this into a garlic crusher and squeeze a few drops of ginger into each glass.
  • Decorate with a slice of orange on the rim of each glass and serve.
