Ingredients
 

  • 1.6 lb fresh shelled or frozen peas
  • 1 lettuce heart
  • 1 bunch spring onions
  • 2 oz butter
  • salt and pepper
  • a pinch of sugar

Instructions

  • Shred the lettuce and chop the spring onions.
  • Melt the butter in a pan, add the lettuce, spring onions, peas, seasoning, and sugar.
  • Cover and simmer gently for 10-15 minutes or until the peas are very tender.
  • Season again if required before serving
