Roast Goose with Mashed Potato Stuffing
Roast Goose with Mashed Potato Stuffing is a hearty meal that will feed a lot of people. The stuffing is made from mashed potatoes, sage, onion, salt and pepper.
Ingredients
- 2 lb potatoes peeled, cooked and mashed
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 3 tablespoons double cream heavy cream
- salt and pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
- 1 onion parboiled and finely chopped
- 10 lb goose approx.
- flour
Instructions
- Mix the potatoes with the butter or cream, salt, pepper, sage and onion.
- Use to stuff the goose and truss.
- Place in a roasting tin, sprinkle with flour and roast as in the previous recipe.
