Colocasia Leaves Rolled in Gram Flour Paste
Ingredients
- 10 Colocasia leaves arvi ka patta, cut into 4 pieces
for the paste, mix together till smooth:
- 5 oz Gram flour besan
- 3 1/2 oz Wholewheat flour atta
- 7 oz Yoghurt dahi, fresh'
- 1 tsp Turmeric haldi powder
- 5 tsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Green coriander hara dhaniya, chopped
- 1 tsp Green chilli-ginger adrak paste
- 2 floz Soybean oil
For the tempering:
- 1 1/2 floz Vegetable oil
- 2 tsp Sesame seeds til
- 2 tsp Cumin jeera seeds
- a pinch Asafoetida hing
- 3 tbsp Coconut nariyal, grated
- 2 tbsp Green coriander hara dhaniya, chopped
Instructions
- Spread some of the prepared paste over one piece of a colocasia leaf and roll into a tight cylinder. Secure with a string. Similarly, prepare the others.
- Steam the rolls for 5 minutes. Remove and cut each roll into slices,
- For the tempering, heat the oil; add all the ingredients and saute. Add the slices and stir till well mixed.
- Serve garnished with coconut and green coriander.
