Learn how to make the best baked pork chops with tasty apples. This is not your average pork chop recipe!

  • 4 Pork chops
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 lb Cooking apples
  • 1 oz Butter
  • 1 tbsp Chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1/4 pint Stock


  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) Gas 6.
  • Season chops with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a flameproof casserole and brown the chops for 2 minutes on each side.
  • Peel, core and slice apples. Arrange in casserole round the chops and dot with the butter. Sprinkle with rosemary, add stock (made with 1/2 stock cube if liked) and cover casserole.
  • Bake in the centre of the oven for about 30 minutes, removing lid for last 10 minutes of cooking time. Serve with creamed potatoes and salad.
