
Baked pork chops
Learn how to make the best baked pork chops with tasty apples. This is not your average pork chop recipe!
Ingredients
- 4 Pork chops
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 lb Cooking apples
- 1 oz Butter
- 1 tbsp Chopped fresh rosemary
- 1/4 pint Stock
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) Gas 6.
- Season chops with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a flameproof casserole and brown the chops for 2 minutes on each side.
- Peel, core and slice apples. Arrange in casserole round the chops and dot with the butter. Sprinkle with rosemary, add stock (made with 1/2 stock cube if liked) and cover casserole.
- Bake in the centre of the oven for about 30 minutes, removing lid for last 10 minutes of cooking time. Serve with creamed potatoes and salad.
