Apple Sauce
Apple sauce is good for pork, duck and goose, to cut the richness.
Ingredients
- 1 lb cooking tart apples
- 5 tablespoons water
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 2 tbsp butter
- sugar to taste
Instructions
- Peel, core and slice the apples. Place in a pan with water and lemon juice, cover and cook gently until soft.
- Beat well with a wooden spoon or puree in a blender or food processor until smooth.
- Add the butter and sugar to taste.
