Swari (Deep-fried bread)
Instructions
- Knead the flour with just enough water to make a stiff dough.
- Smear a little ghee on the dough and keep aside for a while.
- Make small balls of the dough and roll them into thin rounds, 6" in diameter.
- Heat the ghee and fry the rounds. Remove immediately; do not brown. Fold them in half and put aside, covered, so that they do not get crisp.
- Serve hot as an accompaniment.
