  • 1.1 lb Okra bhindi, washed, dried

for the filling:

  • 2 tbsp Mango powder amchur
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric haldi powder
  • 2 tbsp Coriander dhaniya powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin jeera powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp Ghee


  • Slit each okra from the centre without cutting it into two halves.
  • For the filling, combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
  • Fill each okra with this mixture carefully.
  • Heat the ghee in a pan; add the stuffed okra gently and cook on low heat till done.
  • Serve hot.
