Luchi (Deep-fried flour bread)
Ingredients
- 1.1 lb Refined flour maida
- 1 3/4 oz Ghee
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 4 floz Water
- Ghee for frying
Instructions
- Make a stiff dough with flour, ghee, salt, and water. Keep aside to rest for 2 hours.
- Separate the dough into small round lemon-sized balls.
- Roll out the balls into flat discs, about 4" in diameter.
- Heat the ghee for frying; deep-fry the discs till golden brown in colour.
- Serve hot as an accompaniment.
