Ingredients
 

  • 1 lb potatoes boiled
  • Pork lard or oil

Instructions

  • Pass the cooked potatoes through a ricer or sieve.
  • Heat the lard or oil in a heavy frying pan.
  • Flatten the potatoes into a cake shape in the pan and cook until well browned on the underside.
  • Finely diced onion may be added to this dish, if required.
  • Carefully turn upside down so that the brown side is uppermost, on to a plate.
