Rosti (Basic)
Instructions
- Pass the cooked potatoes through a ricer or sieve.
- Heat the lard or oil in a heavy frying pan.
- Flatten the potatoes into a cake shape in the pan and cook until well browned on the underside.
- Finely diced onion may be added to this dish, if required.
- Carefully turn upside down so that the brown side is uppermost, on to a plate.
