Ingredients
 

  • 4 oz porridge oats
  • 2 oz flour sifted
  • 3 oz caster sugar superfine granulated
  • 2 oz desiccated coconut
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 8 Tbsp butter or margarine melted
  • 1 egg beaten

Instructions

  • Mix together the oats, flour, sugar, coconut and baking powder.
  • Add the butter and egg and blend well.
  • Roll out the mixture to 1 cm (1/2 inch) thickness and cut into shapes with biscuit cutters.
  • Place on a greased baking sheet and bake in a preheated moderate oven 180°C (350°F) Gas Mark 4 for 20 minutes.
