Vinaigrette
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp wine vinegar
- 1/4 tsp mustard powder
- 6 tbsp olive oil
- salt and pepper
optional ingredients:
- 1/2 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh herbs or 1 generous pinch dried herbs
Instructions
- Mix the vinegar with the mustard powder and 1/2 tsp salt in a small bowl, blending thoroughly.
- Beat continuously as you add the oil a little at a time to ensure that it forms an evenly blended emulsion.
- Season with freshly ground black or white pepper to taste and use at once, just as it is or after adding extra flavouring if wished.
