Narkel Chola Dal (Bengal gram with coconut)
Ingredients
- 7 oz Bengal gram chana dal
- 1 tsp Turmeric haldi powder
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1 tsp Aniseed
- 1 Cinnamon dalchini, 1 inch stick
- 4 tsp Coconut nariyal, fresh, thin small pieces
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Sugar
Instructions
- Boil the Bengal gram with turmeric powder and water till done.
- Heat the oil and saute aniseed and cinnamon stick. Add coconut and saute further for 5 minutes.
- Add the boiled Bengal gram and then cook for 10 minutes.
- Mix in the salt and sugar. Serve hot.
