  • 1 lb strawberries hulled
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • 3/4 pint natural low-fat yogurt
  • crushed ice
  • 3/4 pint low-calorie dry ginger ale
  • red food colouring
  • ground ginger

  • Reserve 4 strawberries. Put the remaining strawberries, orange juice and yogurt in a blender with some crushed ice and blend on maximum speed for 30 seconds.
  • Divide between four tumblers. Add the dry ginger ale and a little red food colouring and stir. Sprinkle a little ginger on top and decorate each glass with one of the reserved strawberries.
  • Red-skinned Victoria plums can be used as an alternative to the strawberries to make an equally delicious summer drink. Try sprinkling a little
  • cinnamon on top of each glass instead of the ground ginger.
