
Tenderberry
This is a recipe for making Tenderberry, a drink that can be served hot or cold. The perfect drink to serve at winter holiday parties!
Ingredients
- 1 lb strawberries hulled
- 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
- 3/4 pint natural low-fat yogurt
- crushed ice
- 3/4 pint low-calorie dry ginger ale
- red food colouring
- ground ginger
Instructions
- Reserve 4 strawberries. Put the remaining strawberries, orange juice and yogurt in a blender with some crushed ice and blend on maximum speed for 30 seconds.
- Divide between four tumblers. Add the dry ginger ale and a little red food colouring and stir. Sprinkle a little ginger on top and decorate each glass with one of the reserved strawberries.
- Red-skinned Victoria plums can be used as an alternative to the strawberries to make an equally delicious summer drink. Try sprinkling a little
- cinnamon on top of each glass instead of the ground ginger.
