Ingredients
 

  • 1.1 lb Lamb / beef minced
  • 4 tbsp Vegetable oil for frying
  • 3 Onions medium-sized, chopped
  • 3 tsp 3 inch piece Ginger (adrak), minced
  • 12 cloves Garlic lasan, minced
  • 1 Tomato large, chopped
  • 3 Green chillies minced
  • 3 tbsp Green coriander hara dhaniya, chopped
  • 1 tsp Cumin jeera powder
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper kali mirch powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Vinegar sirka
  • 26 oz Potatoes medium-sized, boiled, mashed
  • 2 Eggs beaten
  • 1 cup approx Breadcrumbs

Instructions

  • Heat the oil in a pan; saute the onions till golden. Add ginger and garlic; saute for 1 minute.
  • Add the mince; fry on high heat for 5 minutes. Add the tomato and the next 6 ingredients; stir-fry. Add 1 cup hot water, bring to the boil, lower heat, and simmer covered for 10 - 15 minutes till done. Add vinegar and cook, uncovered, till dry.
  • Take 2 inch diameter balls of mashed potato seasoned with salt, hollow out and stuff with a little mince. Pinch together to seal. Pat into rounds, dip in egg, roll in breadcrumbs and shallow-fry till golden.
