Rissois de Batata e Carne Picada
Ingredients
- 1.1 lb Lamb / beef minced
- 4 tbsp Vegetable oil for frying
- 3 Onions medium-sized, chopped
- 3 tsp 3 inch piece Ginger (adrak), minced
- 12 cloves Garlic lasan, minced
- 1 Tomato large, chopped
- 3 Green chillies minced
- 3 tbsp Green coriander hara dhaniya, chopped
- 1 tsp Cumin jeera powder
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper kali mirch powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Vinegar sirka
- 26 oz Potatoes medium-sized, boiled, mashed
- 2 Eggs beaten
- 1 cup approx Breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a pan; saute the onions till golden. Add ginger and garlic; saute for 1 minute.
- Add the mince; fry on high heat for 5 minutes. Add the tomato and the next 6 ingredients; stir-fry. Add 1 cup hot water, bring to the boil, lower heat, and simmer covered for 10 - 15 minutes till done. Add vinegar and cook, uncovered, till dry.
- Take 2 inch diameter balls of mashed potato seasoned with salt, hollow out and stuff with a little mince. Pinch together to seal. Pat into rounds, dip in egg, roll in breadcrumbs and shallow-fry till golden.
