Poire Belle Helene
Poire Belle Helene is a French ice-cream recipe with vanilla ice-cream, chocolate sauce and cream.
Ingredients
- 4 firm ripe pears
- 8 1/2 floz vanilla ice cream
- 8 1/2 floz chocolate sauce
- 4 floz double cream heavy cream
for the decoration
- 1 oz crystallized violets
Instructions
- Peel the pears, cut them in half, and remove the cores.
- Place a scoop or slice of ice cream in each of 4 dishes.
- Top with the pear halves and mask with chocolate sauce.
- Whip the cream until stiff, and pipe a large rose on top of each portion.
- Decorate with the crystallized violets
