This classic spaghetti Bolognese recipe is rich in flavour and makes an excellent mid-week dinner.

  • 21 oz spaghetti
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 oz butter
  • 1 pint Bolognaise Sauce
  • 2 1/2 oz grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt and milled peppe


  • Place the spaghetti into plenty of simmering salted water and move it around gently to prevent it sticking; cook for 8-10 minutes, then drain in a colander.
  • Melt the butter in a shallow pan, add the hot spaghetti and stir with a fork. Season with salt and black pepper.
  • Place in a serving dish accompanied by a sauceboat of the sauce and grated Parmesan cheese.
