method
1. Melt the chocolate and cool slightly.
2. Beat together the cream cheese, two-thirds of the butter or margarine, malted milk powder and vanilla essence.
3. Beat in the icing sugar and milk alternately, and finally the melted chocolate.
4. Remove 225 g (8 oz) of the chocolate mixture. Cover and reserve for the icing.
5. Sieve together the flour and baking powder.
6. Beat the remaining softened butter or margarine into the chocolate mixture, then the eggs and the flour alternately with the milk.
7. Put paper cases into patty tins and fill two-thirds full with the mixture.
8. Bake at 180°C (350°F) Gas 4 for about 20 minutes. Cool.
9. Ice the cakes with the reserved chocolate mixture and decorate, if you like, with chocolate buttons.
