method
1. Place the onion, lentils, garlic and water in a saucepan.
2. Bring to the boil over a high heat and boil rapidly for 10 minutes.
3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 20 - 25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is reduced to a thick puree.
4. Leave the puree until cold, add the curd cheese and mix well. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Spoon the pate into a small dish or individual small ramekins, cover and chill well before serving.
