Sweet and Sour Eggs

This Polish recipe makes a good appetizer as well as a snack.

ingredients

serves 4
4 hard-cooked eggs
1 cup olive oil
1 cup cider vinegar
1 onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon sugar

method

1. Slice the eggs lengthwise into quarters. Place egg quarters in a shallow dish. Combine remaining ingredients in a bowl. Pour the liquid over the eggs and refrigerate, lightly covered with plastic, for 24 hours.

2. To serve, arrange the eggs on a serving dish and sprinkle them with a little of the marinade.

3. Serve with Chrein
