1. Gently heat the butter and sugar in a pan until a caramel has formed. Add the plums, cut-side down, and cook for 5-6 minutes over a gentle heat.
2. Turn over and add the lemon and orange juice to the pan. Stew for a few minutes until soft but not pulpy.
3. Remove from the heat and transfer to a serving plate. Sprinkle sesame seeds over and serve with cream or custard.
