Baked Eggs recipe

ingredients

50 g (2 oz) butter, melted
4 eggs
salt and freshly ground pepper

method

1. Place four individual ovenproof dishes or cocottes on a baking sheet, and put one quarter of the butter in each.

2. Break an egg into each dish and sprinkle with a little salt and pepper. Bake in the oven at 180°C (350°F) mark 4 for 5 8 minutes until the eggs are just set. Serve at once.
